3D Animation

Squirrel Watching

"Squirrel Watching" was a class assignment. I was tasked to use the squirrel rig to animate a character reacting to something in its environment.

I wanted to have the squirrel bounce into frame and watch the sunset on the tree branch. Then, I wanted to have the blue bird fall from a higher branch out of frame, and land on the squirrel, sending them both off the tree like bowling pins. I think I executed the idea well, and I had a lot of fun animating it.

This project was animated in Maya, and both of the rigs were provided by my Professor.

Squirrel Bounce

"Squirrel Bounce" was a class assignment. This project was used as an animation test for the rig in the "Squirrel Watching" assignment.

The focus in this project was the squirrel's tail and how it would move when the body is just a bouncing ball.

This project was animated in Maya, and the rig was provided by my Professor.

Character Walk

In the project, "Character Walk", I animated a walk-cycle to give the basic humanoid rig personality and character with the way it walks. I am happy with the way the walk-cycle came out, giving the character intention with every step. The walk gives off the vibe of someone with confidence or a bit of sassiness.

This project was animated in Maya, and the rig was provided by my Professor.

Bouncing Balls

"Bouncing Balls" is a title that's pretty unambiguous. In this project, I animated 3 balls of varying weights: a bowling ball, a volleyball, and a tennis ball. I believe I was able to demonstrate the weights of each ball successfully, and overall I'm happy with the timing.

This project was animated in Maya, and the rig was provided by my Professor.

Pendulum

In this project, I animated a pendulum moving from one side of the screen to the other. Then it abruptly stops, letting the momentum carry through to the three other pendulum segments.

This project was animated in Maya, and the rig was provided by my Professor.
